Do you enjoy fishing?
Stewart boasts fishing charter businesses. If you arrive with your boat, docks are available to launch your boat. Some folks have been know to fish from their canoe. Don't forget your fishing licenses!
Golf Anyone?
Set against the spectacular backdrop of Mt. Rainey, visitors to Stewart's Mt. Rainey Golf Facility will enjoy a unique, fun and FREE golf experience on our Par 3, Driving Range and Putting Course (the only golf facility within 300km). Just a thought: If you would like to support the Mt. Rainey Golf Facility, donations can be dropped off at the District of Stewart Municipal Office located at 705 Brightwell Street.
How do you like Bears?
A bear viewing platform is available in Hyder, Alaska. Pass from Stewart to Hyder and travel out to see the bears. This is always a wonderful sight as bears ignore the tourists and concentrate of catching and enjoying the salmon as they travel upstream.
Heli-tours can be arranged!
There are helicopter companies that are based in Stewart that offer tours and can be contacted directly to make arrangements.

Glacier Sights
You will be able to see the Bear Glacier from highway 37a on the drive in to Stewart.
Another spectacular sight is the Salmon Glacier which is a 37km (23 mile) drive from Stewart - past Hyder & beyond the Bear viewing platform.
